The Combilift company was started by two great engineers, Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett. Between them, they had over four decades of engineering experience when they founded the company in the year 1998 within Monaghan, Ireland. In just more than ten years, Combilift became a leader within the global long-load handling market, providing machinery to more than 50 markets all around the world. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors which have helped expand distribution into numerous markets around the world and using their extensive knowledge and experience, McVicar and Moffett have created machinery that had sold 10,000 units by mid 2009 and are in high demand.
Below is a summary of several of the Combilift units.
There are a variety of mast options for the C-Series Combilifts, while these machinery offer as much as nine meters and lift capacities that top out at 25,000 kilograms. Engines are available in diesel, battery or electric and LPG or gas and the C-Series Combilifts can work in guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
Combilift Straddle Carriers offer the ability to transport oversized, heavy loads like fully loaded containers which weigh as much as 35 tons. These loads could be transported all over a work site or facility and the Combilift Straddle Carrier could lift fully loaded containers where needed, whether it be from trailer to trailer, from the trailer to the ground or from the ground to the trailer. These types of equipment are an efficient, cost effective solution for lots of haulage, shipping, and distribution businesses, even those with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series side-loaders are machinery capable of driving in four directions thanks to its multi-directional steering. This hydrostatic, all-wheel drive forklift can help companies in many ways, one of which is to enable facilities to have aisles which are narrower. It also enables the capability to bulk or block stack by driving forward. This highly manoeuvrable truck is normally found to be a superior choice as opposed to many regular sit-down sideloaders because of the various extra features and capabilities.
