The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight areas during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, which is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were previously unreachable by traditional jibs. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature allows over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system which allows for valuable time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features lessens the time required for users to ascend and descend, increasing effectiveness and productivity.
