The ALC 1000 electronic controls are a menu-based system which allows the user to easily calibrate the equipment and its parts. System diagnostics are offered in various languages. On the Z-80/60 model, there are dual fuel options available. The optional Deutz diesel powered engine is turbocharged, but quiet. It allows for improved performance at higher altitudes. It also carries more than enough torque for better terrain- and grade-ability.
The full-time positive traction and 4-wheel drive ability adds better traction for tough terrain. The Z-135/70 just provides four-wheel steering. Optional features on this unit comprise crab, coordinated, rear wheel and front wheel steering to give the machinery more agility. on the Z-80/60 helps enhance wheel contact on uneven ground. Genie's engine-powered articulating Z-booms are larger compared to any other Genie models. They feature a continuous 360 degree turntable rotation and telescoping jibs which are engineered to give the user a much better reach and range of motion. The design of the Z-boom gives the units exceptional up and over positioning capability that ranges from 8.83 meters on the Z-80/60 model to 23.01 meters on the Z-135/70 model. The XChassis expanding axle is an innovatively engineered device utilized for retracting and extending axles in and out of stowed position. When the axle is stowed the width of the Z-135/70 model machine is just 2.46 meters. The Z-80/60 has fixed width axles for easier transport.
