Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
You can usually find pneumatic forklifts in warehouses and shipping operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used in order to transport materials and products around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks that are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump that lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by one individual.
To avoid loosing control while raising heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated with care. Machine must be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make sure that the handle could smoothly turn. The pallet should be carefully stacked to be able to guarantee that nothing would fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level situated on the inside of the metal loop to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks could then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks must be centered to ensure equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet too high or the forklift could unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is dangerous to push the pallet in front of you since the momentum could cause it to go out of control. Take turns slowly and don't attempt to stop suddenly. Gradually stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
